OhGee! Series Teaser
Project duration: Nov - Dec 2023
For this project I was the creative and line producer for this project.
Official Final Teaser
Logline:
In the suburban late 2000’s London a myriad of mysteries untold lie buried underground. Oggie, a 12-year-old boy, gets intoxicated on the mercury residue found in said time capsule full of riddles and treasure maps. But, when his 40 reality vision drops to 0, the once shiny enchanted forest takes on a more sinister role.

Synopsis:
In truth, those artefacts Oggie found are full of nothing but your usual crummy old 3rd floor neighbor’s biography. In the eyes of impressionable children though, those items void of remaining purpose are magical. There’s a certain excitement he feels when chasing even the dead ends, but it’s apparent that there’s another potent reason as to why he feels this way…
In this series, we explore the influence old folk has over children; how something worn down and ancient can be seen as exciting and new to someone who doesn’t know any better. We present this sentiment in a VERY literal and blunt way, using mercury and its lingering effects to symbolize the lingering pieces of history that the tides of time fail to erase. In contrast we also explore the contrary of this, portraying Shelby and Connor as the indifferent, unaffected duo who choose to participate in this wild goose chase purely for their own mischievous enjoyment; making it their mission to prove Oggie that this dream like fantasies he is pursuing are in fact, not real.

My work as a Producer
Organisation:
I was in charge of team planning and task division. For that reason I made task lists that had weekly tasks lists that were reviewed by the team to be sure that they could be done in that time and were fairly distributed.
For planning and scheduling I set up a miro board planner that the whole team had access to and was the most convenient option since the team was suing the miro board regularly.
I also created the production pipeline to keep track of all major tasks and be sure we weren't falling behind.
I created a group Miro board and gave each team member a colour for their area of work to be displayed for presentation during meetings. In the miro board I also added the written down feedback we each received, the final moving storyboard for easy access and any tutorials and settings needed for animation or backgrounds to be consistent.
Here is the link to the board: https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVNeOiSxY=/?share_link_id=169753687780

Before production started i also set up an online breakdown sheet for easy access from the whole team.
I set up a OneDrive to archive and save our pre-production, production and post-production.

Communication:
For ways of communication i discussed with the team and we concluded that:
WhatsApp would be the easiest for all for updates, last minute changes and overall communication.
Discord would be more suited for online feedback and online meetings on work.

Meetings in person were also planned and needed weekly to see how each task was for each team member if guidance or help was needed.
I also had weekly meeting with only the director of the project Crina Manaila to make sure that she was UpToDate with what the team was doing and if they or she needed to do more to bring her vision to life.

After a few weeks into pre-production I was able to see a bit more what the team enjoyed most working on and some I set up a sub-roles list that the team got to see and approve or edit for their additional roles to make sure they would each work exactly on that they wanted and we would not only fill the roles but enjoy them.

Research:
In order to finalise a distribution plan, budget sheet and copyright contract I did research in many areas, these include: festivals, production pipelines, market, interviews of a guest producer we had during the run of the project and platforms.
